What happens now when you need an emergency travel document?

One of the biggest and most important transactions run by the Foreign Office is emergency travel documents. An emergency travel document will get you home if you are abroad and your passport is unavailable for one reason or another.

Yesterday we saw British businessman Tom somehow losing his passport at the airport between passport control and the plane.

In the second of a series of short blogs, we’ll see how Tom would deal with that situation at the moment.  Click on the images for larger versions.

Tom has to pay and wait while checks are done and the document is produced.

Arnold produces the document and hands it over to Tom.

Coming up – Tom has another passport incident, but this time he is able to use the new digital application. Find out about Tom’s second passport adventure here!
