Chris Rampling MBE was appointed Her Majesty's Ambassador to Lebanon in July 2018 and took up his appointment in September 2018. Prior to this he was the UK Permanent Representation to the EU's Political and Security Committee, & Foreign, Defence and Development Counsellor from 2014 to 2018. Chris has extensive experience in the Middle East, with previous posting as Deputy Head of Mission in Amman from 2009 to 2013. He was also the Deputy Head, Counter Proliferation Department in 2007.
