Blog Action Day

15 October is Blog Action Day related to climate change and Copenhagen in particular.   There isn’t really a better topic for blogging - a deal needs civilian power not just government power.

I've just done an interview for a Brazilian paper El Globo arguing that we keep the faith in the drive for an ambitious, fair and effective global deal.  That remains my position.

Sir, this is a good initiative before the Copenhagen Summit. This will make the positive atmosphere for the summit. You are really doing the best at your level for making the Copenhagen Summit successfull with Mr.Ed Miliband. Sir, there is one suggestion that the comments of the persons who have commented at your earlier blog-articles like- ACT ON COPENHAGEN, CLEAN COAL and other related articles, should be quoted in Copenhagen summit.

Dear David and Ed,I do full agree to both of you that in re.of the UN Climate Change Conference in Copen- hagen in Dec.'09-according to the "In the Balance" -Docs. of 08/09/09-the best topic of which you can choose at 15/10/09 is the climate change. This deal really needs strong support by civilian power+a little bit more civil courage. For politicians left alone just can't solve such big problems.By the way:For which reason do we have the privilege of living in our proper working democracy?Surely not only by voting every 4/ 5 yrs.Sometimes I`m feeling pretty low or angry by watching British and German friends-I`m Anglo- German-who are blaming the politics for their life- situation but don't even vote.Hope both of you will keep your positions and this outstanding drive.. Best wishes,Ingo-Steven Wais
