Day 99: Jane Goodall on melting glaciers and rising sea levels

Jane Goodall is the world's leading expert on chimpanzees. She's very well known for her early work in Tanzania and her tireless effort to conserve tropical forests around the world. She joins 100 Voices 100 Days to share two recent experiences she had on the front lines of a changing environment and what they told her about the importance of taking ambitious action to tackle climate change. Day 98: Joe Trippi on the politics of climate change

Joe Trippi is a Democratic campaign strategist in the United States. He's well known for his roles on the presidential campaigns of Howard Dean and John Edwards. As such, he has done a lot of thinking about the issue of climate change in American politics. In his 100 Voices 100 Days video, he tells us what is holding climate change back, and what it will take for serious action to be taken to tackle it.

Jack Darin is the Director of the Sierra Club's Illinois Chapter. He says that he's confident President Obama is on track to make significant progress in tackling climate change. Jack also notes that US regions and cities such as the Midwest and Chicago are taking green action on their own.

Day 96: Ted Brekken on making wind energy more practical

Dr. Ted Brekken is co-director of the Wallace Energy Systems and Renewables Facility at Oregon State University (thanks to them for submitting this video). He's working to make wind power less variable - and potentially more practical for widespread use - by developing a way to store wind energy in off-peak hours.

Day 94: Venita McCellon-Allen on America's energy mix

This video was submitted by AmericasPower.org, a group that advocates for coal companies in the US. Venita McCellon-Allen is the executive vice president for one of those companies and she says that coal is required to satisfy the demand for energy in America. While she acknowledges that renewable energy is an important part of that mix, it simply cannot power America alone.

Day 89: Emily Roshan on opposition to nuclear power

We haven't explored nuclear power on 100 Voices 100 Days. With thanks to Greenpeace for this submitted video, Emily Roshan talks about why Greenpeace is against using nuclear energy as part of a clean energy mix. Now the UK believes nuclear is a necessary response to climate change. In fact, just yesterday, Nick Bridge, the Embassy's lead on climate change policy, blogged on the rise of nuclear power in the UK.
