Want to Study at the Best Universities in UK ?

Little known fact – we pay for students from around the world to go to the United Kingdom to study for a Masters degree. We pay for the flights, for the flat to live in, for the food to eat while you are there, for the cost of the tuition fees, and even give you a credit card loaded with money.

Amazing ! But true.

So how do you get a slice of the action ? Apply for something called a ‘Chevening Scholarship’. They are British and paid for by the British taxpayer. They are free – no cost to you. Look at www.chevening.org for all the details. Click on this website, and find your country to apply.  But you don’t have much time ! The deadline is 15 November.

But look, don’t bother if you don’t think you are good enough. We are looking for the best of the best. Each scholarship is worth up to £50,000 depending on the university course. Yes FIFTY THOUSAND pounds which is about 40 million CFA. Yes FORTY MILLION !!

Why ? There must be a catch.

No catch – we have realised that offering top quality education is the best form of diplomacy, the best way of securing better relations between our countries, the best way of helping to create prosperity and stability in countries that the UK wishes to have as close partners in the years to come.

Three weeks ago I said goodbye to this year’s scholars and handed over their credit cards loaded with money. This year we have fifteen (15) scholarships to give away. You need to have a first degree, and to want to study for a Master’s degree at a UK university. The scholarships we are offering at the British High Commission, Yaoundé are open to anyone in Cameroon, Chad, Gabon, Equatorial Guinea or Central African Republic. We are looking for people who show leadership, who want to come back to their own country to work to improve their country using what they have learnt.

We already have ministers, senior academics, leaders of companies and politicians who have spent a year in UK on a Chevening scholarship.

We have been running Chevening scholarships for years, but now we are putting much more money into them. So there are more chances of getting one.

What a great opportunity – don’t let it pass you by. Go for it, fill in the online form by 15 November, take time to make your case – and good luck !
